For clarification - we are encouraging everyone to wear black tomorrow, Friday, 2/9 across the district as a show of support for the Jones family. This is NOT a fundraiser - simply a supportive gesture. This will extend to the KHS home basketball game Friday night as a further show of support for the family during this time.
Knoxville families, wear black this Friday in support of the Jones family. Black is the color for Melanoma awareness. Thank you!

Parents and Guardians,
Knoxville Schools and the surrounding communities have seen a significant uptick in Influenza A, Influenza B, and COVID. Some symptoms consistently seen are persistent headache, GI issues, sore throat, and exhaustion, among others.
If your students are not feeling well, please take this seriously. Please keep ill students home 24 hours after their fever breaks without medication, or 24 hours past the last time they vomit or have diarrhea.
Although there are no treatments for Influenza or COVID, seeing a provider for confirmation can also assist in knowing when a child should return to school.
Our current COVID protocol is that the student should quarantine for 5 days, and then mask for 5 days. Influenza is a bit different as student symptoms differ.
During this season, if you have any questions as to whether your child should be at school or at home, do not hesitate to reach out to the Knoxville Health Staff. We are happy to assist.
